In December 2011 /A WORD OF ART relaunched our international artist residency, expanding the program to host up to 5 artists at a time in a shared live/work environment.
We are proud to present the first in a series of monthly artist talks by residents and selected local artists. Incoming residents are invited to speak about their practice, while outgoing residents will share their experiences and stories from their time in South Africa. Each talk will be 6 minutes long and will be accompanied by an image slideshow. Our recently renovated artist studios will be open for viewing - please come and celebrate a new year in our new space!
This month our presenters include Adam Maynard and Mia Nolting from Portland Oregon, Mymo and Nina Ansari from Berlin, Amie Gislason and Terri Potratz from Vancouver BC as well as new residency director Indigo, also from Vancouver.
